  1. How can I particapte in Intramural Sports?
    If you already have a team and are a captain, you can participate in Inrtamurals by signing up online at www.siuc.edu/rss or on this site. If you do not have a team, you can sign up on the Intramural Sports Free Agent Message Board. It is also on this site.

  2. Where do I pick up a roster?
    Beginning in the Fall of 2007, Intramural Sports will be going to online registration. To register, you click the roster link on this site, or you can go to the recreation center's website and click the roster link on it. After you fill out the roster it will automatically be submitted to the Intramural Sports office and you should receive a confirmation e-mail within 1 business day.

  3. Who can participate?
    All SIUC students that are enrolled at the university. Faculty and Staff can play intramural sports as well. Any other community member of the SIUC Recreation Center can participate as well.

  4. Where is the Intramural Offices located?
    The Intramural Office is located in the Administration Office (room 136) in the SIUC Student Recreation Center. The Administration Office is loctaed in the Alumni Lounge in the Recreation Center.

  5. Is there a min. GPA required to play Intramural Sports?

  6. What is a Practice League???
    A practice League is a regular season intramural sports league without playoffs. When Intramural sports uses the term practice league it means basically, there are no playoffs, and that is it.

  7. How are playoff seeds determined?
    All Intramural Sports First round playoff games will be determined based on league standings and/or a rating system. A playoff captain's meeting will be scheduled before the playoffs. Basketball Playoff seeds are determined by a rating system used by Intramural Sports. For more information on the rating system, you can call 453-1273 and ask for Charles.

  8. How can I get a job in Intramural Sports?
    There are several job opportunities through Intramural Sports. You can be an official, supervisor, or equipment/field manager. As of now, all supervisors and equipment manager postions are filled. However, IM Sports is always looking for Officials. To learn more about each job click the "employment button" in the main menu. There is also an online application you can fill out.

  9. What are the eligibility requirments to play intramural sports?
    Any member of there Student Recreational Center in intramurals.A participant is not eligible to compete in any Intramural Sports activity unless all pertinent and required information is provided on the official roster form. Members of varsity (DI-D-III) or junior varsity (junior colleges) intercollegiate teams at SIUC or another 4 year institution are ineligible to participate in the same or similar sport during the sport's season. (Similar sports include: baseball to softball, football to flag football, etc.) In thoseIntramural Sports which precede intercollegiate seasons for the same or similar sport and members of the varsity and junior varsity from the past academic year who have intercollegiate eligibility remaining will be ineligible from Intramural Sports participation in that sport.

  10. What's the difference between defaults and forteits?
    Any Intramural Sports team not ready to play a contest at the scheduled game time will automatically forfeit the contest. Not ready to play means the team has not enough players signed in at game time. GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME! NO EXCEPTIONS! One team forfeit or two defaults will result in the team being dropped from the sport for the remainder of the season. A default is when a team has players at game time but not enough to start the game.

  11. Are their make up games?
    The Intramural Sports office will not guarantee games that are rained out will be made up during the regular season. Intramural Sports will make every effort to ensure playoff games are made up if cancelled.
